About Christopher Dee
Christopher is retired and has lived in Eynsford Rise for five years. He has five grandsons currently attending Anthony Roper School. The eldest will transfer to secondary school next September and the youngest is five. Before he retired he was a senior civil servant and worked in the Department for Education on policies for special education, school funding and teachers’ pay. He also worked for the Department for Employment and the DTI, mainly on employment legislation including EU negotiations on workers’ rights and the National Minimum Wage. Before he joined the Civil Service, he worked for 16 years as an English teacher in Inner London comprehensive schools and eventually became Head of the English Department in a large boys’ school in Wandsworth.
