Our Successes This Week
These terms seem to roll by faster and faster each year. We’ve reached the end of Term 1 already, and it’s time for our children to have a much-deserved rest. Since last writing, our successes have included:
- Our Harvest Festivals were a huge success, led by St Martins’ Reverend Trudi, supported by Rev. Dorothy! Thank you so much to our families for your generous donations, which were taken to a local food bank on Tuesday; a lovely showing of our value of Kindness.
- We held our termly Headteacher’s Tea Party, where pupils are invited by staff to share a piece of learning they are proud of, over a few treats for their hard work and dedication to learning.
- Governors had their latest meeting this week! Governors’ regular work includes items such as: analysing the school’s budget, updating policies (such as the Safeguarding Policy, Finance Policy and the Complaints Policy, amongst many others, which can be found here) and looking at the progress of the school against its strategic aims. Remember, we have a vacancy for a Partnership Governor! If you know someone who would be able to support the development of our school, please take a Nomination Form from our Office. We can accept nominations until Friday 10th November.
- It’s been our first Scrapbook Week of the year, with children using our value of Creativity to create their entry for this term collecting their most memorable learning.
- We have held our first Exhibition Afternoon of the year, with families able to visit their child’s class to see the learning they have been engaging in since the year started. As always, please share your feedback with us here.
- Our first Achievement Cup assembly of the year celebrated children who have been noticed by staff for their sustained effort this term, including areas such as Music, Art and PE!
