Our Successes This Week
Welcome back everyone to Term 2 of the school year! We hope you had an enjoyable half term break. Since returning, our successes have included:
- You will notice 2 extra structures on our playground (2 more are under construction) – these will eventually be used to broaden children’s opportunities at playtime and lunchtime with each lodge having a different theme and/or activity to choose from. My thanks go to our fantastic PTA for supporting this development!
- We held our next Values Day of the year, this time with a focus on Teamwork. Children were given a series of creative challenges to complete in their houses, as this also served as our Inter-House PSHE opportunity – a huge thank you to Mrs Clark, our PSHE Lead, for arranging this. We look forward to other Inter-House competitions for different subjects, to supplement our already-embedded PE Inter-House competitions.
- Our next Open Morning was held! Our children and staff were keen to show off the best of our school and we were proud to share some of the amazing things we have going on. If you know anyone looking to start in Reception, in September 2024, please direct them to our Admissions page, where tours can be booked online!
- It’s nearly time to say ‘goodbye’ to our Bandoola displays because - this week - we have had a new whole-school text to kick off the term: Gorilla! All children have worked towards a written and creative outcome from the text and we look forward to displaying their achievements very soon – it’s continued to be an amazing way to see progression across the school.
