Solomon Cox Educational Charity

In 1853 Solomon Cox of Canton Manor, Farningham set up a charity for the education of poor scholars from Farningham. The deeds of this charity have now been changed to give control of its funds to the Governors of Anthony Roper Primary School. The Governors wish to use this fund as a vehicle for raising money for the school from the wider community and will use the fund to enhance the educational experience of all pupils at the school. At present the value of the fund lies at around £1,000 but plans are being made to generate further income.

St Martin’s Sunday@7.00 congregation are hosting a ‘music night’ on Sunday 23rd April from 7.00 – 8.30pm to which all supporters of Anthony Roper School are invited. Six local music groups/musicians will be performing an eclectic mix of music. All are welcome. Bring your own drinks but nibbles provided. Donations will be taken for the Solomon Cox Educational Charity.
