In-Year Admissions
If you are considering transferring your child to our school, please contact Primary Admissions for information on availability and waiting lists using the contact details below.
To apply for a place outside the September Admissions process, you will need to complete an In-Year Application Form. This form will need to be completed and returned directly to the office (which can be downloaded from the link below). Please note if your child is offered a place at Anthony Roper Primary School, you will be required to provide your child’s birth certificate and proof of address (two for you and one for your child).
Late applications/Waiting lists/Multiple births: Procedures and arrangements for administering these issues will be in accordance with those detailed in the KCC’s booklet ‘Admission to Primary Schools in Kent.'
PAN Consultation
We are proposing a reduction in the school's entry numbers from 45 spaces (1.5 classes per year) to 30 spaces (1 class per year). This means that, from September 2026, our school will offer 30 places in Reception, not 45. This is driven by national and local demographics. Across the country, with birth-rates at an all-time-low, current and forecast primary school numbers are decreasing. This is exacerbated in our area, with fewer new families moving to the area.
Consequently, pupil numbers are forecast to drop throughout the local area. Our school, like most in the area, is already running below its official admission number (45). The Governing Board have reviewed this, and believe it makes sense to fit the school to this new reality and, consequently, reduce the published admission number to 30. Governors hope this simplifies the structure of the school as, over time, it becomes a single form entry, increasing the ability to manage the resources of the school to fit this position, as it provides more certainty.
You will find further details in the documents below, including a link to share your feedback on this proposal.
