Our Successes This Week

It’s been another busy week at school! Since last writing, our successes have included:

  • Our children enjoyed an Autumn Disco, organised by our fantastic PTA. Thank you SO much to the organisers and volunteers who were able to support the event. We are so grateful for your support of our school.
  • We have reached the end of exploring our new class names during our assemblies! With our value of Diversity we have covered a range of figures from both past and present, and considered what lessons we can learn.
  • We have held our first Parents’ Evenings of the year, with families meeting teachers to discuss the children’s achievements so far and their targets moving forwards. We appreciate feedback, so please feel free to let us know here the strengths and areas to develop based on your experiences.
  • A bit like a Fire Drill (when there is a danger inside and we need to gather safely outside), we practised our Lockdown Procedure – this is something we use when there is a danger outside of our school, and we need to remain safe inside! For our children, we used examples such as Canada, where they sometimes find grizzly bears on the playground! A huge congratulations to our children for practising this so well and keeping each other safe, a fantastic showing of our vision!

Thank you and well done to our School Council, whose first competition of the year closed this week. It was a creative competition with the theme, “Save The Planet”. Mrs Hibb and the School Council judged the entries earlier today and we look forward to hearing the results soon! Well done to all entrants: your creativity was exceptional!
