Our Successes This Week

It’s been a great week at school and we’ve had the following successes:

  • We’ve hosted more school tours for prospective families looking to start school in September 2024! It’s been really lovely to welcome people to see how our children learn. We have a few more tours coming up – if you know anyone looking to start school, please direct them to the Admissions page of our website, where they can book online.
  • We’re in the middle of observing lessons to see how our children are progressing! On this occasion, we are observing Maths lessons and we have been so impressed by the children’s ability to support each other: my thanks go to all of our pupils and staff for being so welcoming and showing our value of Perseverance with some of the tricky Maths concepts they encounter.
  • We’ve had our termly visit from our School Improvement Advisor! Every school has an advisor and their role is to regularly visit and support school development. On this visit, he was impressed by the school’s developing curriculum and the calm atmosphere in the lessons he visited! Well done everyone!
  • Teachers that work with our Year 1 children (Miss Lake and Miss Doe) were invited to a writing moderation event with local schools, to show off our children’s achievements and work collaboratively to discover next steps with other local teachers. Thank you to Year 1 for representing our school.
